Martino Gamper ‘Café Charlottenborg’

Charlottenborg’s much-loved cafe now features a new design by the Italian designer Martino Gamper. The café features tables adapted by Gamper from a design by Arne Jacobsen, and produced with the generous help of Montana; as well as stools designed by Gamper.

Gamper’s approach to the commission honours Charlottenborg’s design history while bringing it up to date, and the installation also features customised versions of some of the café’s previous fittings: including Hans Wegner’s Wishbone chairs; and Poul Henningsen’s Charlottenborg lamps.
